We take communication very seriously, and we never intentionally leave a customer without a response. If we miss something, we are always more than willing to return and take another look.However, your situation is a bit different. During the cleaning, we discovered that your home has four different grout colors including two in the kitchen alone, along with new white grout leading into the master and an off-white grout transitioning into the marble in the master bathroom. We pointed all of this out to your husband, as you left shortly after I arrived and were not present for the remainder of the job. So the statement that I was only there for 15 minutes is simply not accurate.We also explained to your husband that, due to the multiple grout colors and heavy staining in the kitchen, the appearance could vary as it dried, and to contact us if anything looked off. I personally scrubbed the grout lines in your kitchen by hand. If you had been present, I could have shown you everything in real time and ensured clear communication.Because we never received a call and only a single photo with no explanation, I did not realize a follow-up was needed—and I take responsibility for that. Additionally, the gold paint embedded in your tile did not come out, which I would have explained had anyone been there during the cleaning.When I sent the invoice, I included photos of what we found along with a detailed message, but it appears you did not see it. This miscommunication is what led us here today. The black furniture line is from someone pushing the furniture back when the floors were still wet. We always tell our customers to please wait 15-20 minutes to put the furniture back after we leave. Since your husband showed up to move some of the furniture and help out, that wasn't moved before our arrival. Again, an easy fix that could have been taken care of. We pride ourselves on being extremely communicative and transparent with our customers. Had our messages reached you, this situation could have been easily avoided. However, there are a few important details missing that I would like to clarify for accuracy.I initially stopped by three weeks ago and completed a small hand test spot. An estimate was sent immediately after, which included our terms and conditions. As stated in all of our estimates, a signed approval and required deposit are needed before we can schedule any job—especially one of this size. We did not receive either a signature or a deposit, and we did not hear back for three weeks.When you eventually reached out, you requested that we return to perform a test spot using our equipment. We scheduled a specific time to bring our van out for that purpose only. After evaluating the floor with the proper equipment, we determined that an acid wash was necessary, which increased the cost due to the additional labor involved. You were unhappy with the price change, but it was based on the actual condition of the floor.We were not scheduled to complete the full job that day—only the equipment test spot—so we did not have the time blocked off for a full service. Despite this, I still offered you the next available date, just two days later, and was willing to work with you on a better rate due to the confusion.Our policies exist to protect both parties and ensure clear expectations.
